|Online registration is now closed. Please register on site at Nickerson Field on April 27.
There, you will have all of the registration options available to you.
Register for the event as an Individual Walker/Strider, Power Walker/Strider, or Individual Youth Walker/Strider, and choose whether you'll stride by attending the event at Nickerson Field or offsite as a virtual walker/strider.
How does it work?
Participants register as individuals and may create or join a team. Each participant and team sets a fundraising goal for the event. In the months before Strides Against Stigma, individuals and teams gather sponsors and donations for their participation in Strides.
Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers.
Many participants also set a goal for the number of strides they will take at the event. On April 27, the day of the event, participants have 4 hours to collect strides, whether by walking, dancing, or however they move around the track and on the field. Throughout the event, participants can enjoy a lineup of live entertainment, raffles, games, celebrity appearances, information sessions, and performances.
At the end of the event, we'll add up the stride count from all participants' pedometers. The event goal is to reach a total of 2 million strides!
Virtual (Off-Site) Walker/Strider
Do you want to participate in the Strides Against Stigma event, but you don't live in the Metro Boston area or you're not able to attend at the Nickerson Field location on April 27? You can still be involved! Join your friends and family on a team or participate as an individual by becoming a Virtual Walker/Strider.
As a Virtual Walker/Strider, you'll raise funds for Families for Depression Awareness programs and help build a stigma-free community.
All participants, whether on site or virtual, have access to the same fundraising tools and receive the same level of FFDA staff support. Virtual Walkers/Striders can even create or join a team!
To become a Virtual Walker/Strider, register as an Individual, Power, or Individual Youth Walker/Strider, and select the "Virtual Participant" option at the bottom of the registration form.
Join us, on site or virtually!
